I live inside the Beltway. As far as I can tell, this is having very little effect.
Most government workers have been teleworking since the beginning of the Pandemic. The same with the majority of private businesses here. DC is a virtual ghost town.
And since most people are teleworking now, there isn't much local traffic on the roads. So the majority of people being exposed to the convoy right now are tourists, truck drivers still making deliveries, and people just passing through. And remember, before the pandemic, DC had the third worst traffic in the country. So right now, even with the convoy slowing things down, traffic is only a fraction as bad as it normally is. So they're not bothering these people by slowing down traffic. We're conditioned to traffic snarls
I hope the convoy are still getting donations and aren't going out of pocket paying for gas and hotels for this.
Because as far as I can tell, no one here gives half a shite about what they're doing.
Im wondering if this tactic may have been developed by the Truckers in conjunction with the Patriot team to create a sort of blockade, so that when the hammer falls there is no escape. Ive already seen the feds with plans to put their drones up who cant get out of Washington. The Capital Police have declared an emergency and there are calls for more National Guard.
BTW what jurisdiction do the Capital Police have outside the actual Capital that they can declare emergencies over something happening on the beltway?
Will be interesting when they all run out of gas at once, then pull their air brake pins.
Effectively the road may as well not exist. Nobody using that road for quite a while.
HONK MORE until morale improves
Will they honk all at once once they make seven revolutions?
.62 or 62 ?
He meant 62. 0.62 would be only about 40 trucks.
What would you like them to say? Congratulations for completing a lap??
Ram them trucks straight through damnit
Good, I guess. But they won't accomplish a damn thing unless they can make some people uncomfortable. This won't do it.
That's fucking awesome.

Keep loading the beltway with trucks until cars can't get on.
HONK HONK!!!

Weren't capital police setting up shop in Florida and other places?
Almost like circling the walls of Jericho

Plenty of tow trucks in and around DC.
Go into D.C or no balls
Just stop on the highway and cause major jams.
