People aren't born that way. Children are easy to mold. They might have not gotten any attention as a young child. Then at some point messing around they put mothers high heels. Everyone laughs and says how cute. 1st hit of attention the kid gets in a while. A few days passes and the kid now is wearing lipstick and women's shoes. More attention is given.
Not all of them go down like that but it's little things that snowball.
Little by little that mind of a child is shaped to be something.
I teach mine to be proper men, to open doors, to say the truth to question everything. My kids will have hard lives because they won't bow down to the narrative... but they will be strong men because I am training them to be so.
I always acknowledge kids that hold the door open for me and tell them thank you and give them a big smile. I say thank you to adults also but I put more emphasis on the “thank you” to the kids. I get upset when people just walk past without saying thank you or even acknowledging someone holding a door open for them, especially if it’s a child. God gave me a big mouth that I’m shocked hasn’t gotten me into big trouble yet, lol. (Knock on 🪵) I always say something to the rude adult who waltzes through a door being held open for them by a child. Sometimes the person turns and looks at me but keeps going and other times they ignore me. It just pisses me off because they act like they are that damn important. I don’t care no one is that damn important, no one!
