Not sure about the top 10, but America's obesity is definitely over-exaggerated. It's a problem, yes -- of course it is. But in the land of plenty we also have plenty of access and freedoms (until 2020 anyway) to get the exercise we wanted or needed.
This. Each man and woman (again, prior 2020) is free to pursue whatever he or she is willing to, freely. Few are compelled to labor for their well-being and none have any obstacle to physical greatness.
Gyms can be expensive to pay for every month. When a lot of people are struggling with normal bills and living expenses, while working 2 jobs, even that hour of working out may not be a high priority when that hour could be spent with kids, or resting in order to go to work again. There are certain obstacles to healthy living in the US, to say nothing of the fact that actual healthy food is way more expensive than a lot of shitty food at the grocery stores.

Nobody needs a gym.one of the fittest guys I worked with and our job build you for sure just got out of a 16 year stretch. Had nothing better to do.
