Small correction: At the end, dr. Malone does not say "we got their CDs", he says "we got their CVs", meaning Curriculum Vitae.

It is Latin. We say CV here in Québec, 'cause we speak French and résumé is a French word that has a different meaning so it would be confusing.

Yes use of CV over Resume is the norm globally, not just in Europe.

Even in the US this is gaining traction, albeit moreso in academia than in business.

I've never understood why they U.S. uses "resumè" the way we do. Even before taking HS French 1, I didn't understand it.
