Update: I have a friend in Alaska. I was talking to her last night & she said they had an internet outage last week. I didn’t get the details. Her PO Box is Fairbanks & she lives deep in the mountains.
I’m not saying that it’s related. It’s Alaska & they have a lot more snow than normal. However she normally doesn’t have a problem with internet unless she looses power.
I cannot get internet from Mediacom yet every neighbor has their service. I've called since mid Jan. yet they keep saying I have to wait on the construction crew to add a node to an existing line. Ugh, be thankful you at least have internet even if it's slow. Typing on a cell phone sux.
I understand your frustration. When my internet has gone out they will take weeks to get out here. Especially with companies being short handed. I wasn’t complaining. I was asking trying to see if anyone was noticing anything.
I’m on 15.3.1 & see I have an update for 15.4.
Which one are you seeing the problems? I’ve stopped updating as soon as they come out. I used to have a lot of problems when I updated immediately.
Who knows they are probably doing something to slow it down. I don’t put anything past any tech company.
I truly wish I had never been introduced to a cell phone, PC or internet. I think we would be better off if it all disappeared.
I know I could do it on my own. I’m not that strong. Devine intervention wouldn’t be a bad thing. I’ve watched to many Armageddon type TV shows. Those people struggle but they make it with out the internet!
Yup! Yesterday and today. Have satellite and it’s slow, patchy on and off for TV and tells me slow / low signal even though not a cloud in the sky Upper central Midwest
Century Link? You have my deepest sympathies. I spent two full days last week trying and failing to get a single human being on the phone, tried about five different numbers, waited on hold for nearly an hour twice and then finally got someone and they, guess what? put me on hold for another 35 minutes and then that person put me on hold for another 40 minutes. Finally I was able to tell the worst customer service people on earth that the telephone line that was cancelled months for our relative who recently died was not only getting a ringtone, I called my cellphone and the call was from a different phone number (on her phone) than the number she had.
Sorry for the rant. Haven't noticed any internet problems here recently. I don't have Century Link.
I live in rural Virginia so I can relate. Our internet provider sent something two years ago saying we were finally getting broadband. Hah, not here. Too far out in the sticks. There are "no plans" to provide anything other than the overpriced wheezy stuff we get ever.
Thanks for your thoughts on our relative. She had been sick for a long time and had been in a nursing home for months. She's in a better place now. Her local phone company was bought out by Century Link several years ago.
Yes, and while viewing two or three politically poison videos exposing the cabal over the last two or three weeks I'v had my laptop just shut down and go black.
Sometimes once I get it back up and running Brave is able to restore to the exact settings on the videos, and sometimes it will not.
A guy I know that was tech support for a company & worked on our PC recommends this site. If you are going to add new spyware you will need to delete those & add back after new spyware install. I’m not trained with PCs. Our laptop got the blue screen of death & with those programs I fixed it.
I haven’t had any doubts that we are tracked or watching. I’m totally convinced after my experiences Saturday. I was shopping in Raleigh NC & I don’t live there. I’m familiar but not well enough to travel with out maps. I was using google maps because I could save list of stores. Every time I pulled up brave browser or Apple Maps it either took 10-30 seconds to connect or didn’t connect at all. Said no service. I have 5G in Raleigh! When I used Google search or maps no lag!
I’m not a tech guru but I know the basics of using a cell phone. That was weird.
The link shows people from all over USA complaining about outages or slow internet. Of course I can live with out internet. I’m wondering if others are experiencing or their are blackouts.
I didn’t search before posting. Something has happened with my account on communities. I have the same account there as here, I thought. I’m logged out there and can’t search. I apologize if someone has already posted one this subject,
I’m not a lost kitten! I’m not implying there is a black out. I truly believe the companies slow down the internet. I was just asking a legit question. If I can stream TV it’s not my centurylink internet. I’ve been streaming on my TV off & on during the day & tonight. It’s the sites I’m trying to visit.
My stupid VPN keeps locking up.
Been off and on slow for a week here.North of Amarillo.

On what device are you experiencing the slowness?
iPhone 13 Pro Max & my husband has an iPhone, I think his is 11.
My iPhone has been slow/ internet goes out lately. After the last update.

All the 15.4 betas and the final have all caused me internet issues periodically. Very frustrating.

Seems to be some weird shit going on right now.
That’s not good at all! You might want to run a cleaner to be safe.
Download the free version of ccleaner

After you run ccleaner Download this & run:

I really am sick of seeing lost kitten posts like this...
No, your internet being out doesn’t mean anything other than Centurylink are faggots.
No, if you can make this post, access this site, access other sites, chances are it’s just you.
Inference, people. Inference.

Yes. Every time they introduce a “faster, better, internet” or add a g the previous one slows to a crawl.
