No, he's just saying you shouldn't call him a pedo when his crime is statutory rape.
No point in getting mad about it- just use accurate language instead of click-bait exaggeration.
Who's justifying?
You can hear whatever you want to hear, apparently. Doesn't mean the other person said it.
The girl was 17 and is now his wife.
so you know what "grooming" means?
Girl being the key word in this sentence.
Agree to completely disagree. No 17 year old belongs in a romantic relationship with a man this age. A man his age should be picking a woman this more emotionally mature. The fact that he pick someone so young shows that he wants to manipulate her.
If you think 17 year olds are innocent children who shouldn't be burdened with sexuality, you should have gone to high school. The girl and her mother testified no abuse was taking place so it was a consensual relationship between two sexually mature adults. Her later marriage to him confirms that.
The age gap is certainly unusual but it's perfectly legal in the rest of the developed world. Calling it pedophilia is ridiculous and if anything, USA's ultra-conservative consent laws are to blame here. I'm sure many bible thumpers will throw a fit when they hear the age of consent in most of Europe is 14-16.
All the parents hounding school board members pushing their woke agenda are now considered "breaking the law". They in fact sent in FBI under the guise of Patriot Act to treat them as domestic terrorists
The only mental gymnastics exercise here is that if they had waited for a few months before doing the deed, it would all have been perfectly A-OK. This is the weakest possible example of minor abuse.
Still wouldn't be ok.
