The holy grail is an exotic material that has high EMD with low mass density which you can use to repel against the forces of density. But if an EMD repulsion is the path of least resistance to attraction vs matter per volume density you gain lift.

As far as Antarctica goes, why does Google Earth block you from seeing the vast majority of it? If it's just a wasteland of ice and snow, then what's the big secret? There must be something there that they don't want us to see. Whole cities? That it isn't all ice and snow -- maybe it's even warm? Plants? Animals other than penguins? Space aliens?
