I think this article is about "independent" podcasters becoming a nuisance for relaying their comms.
Too much "light pollution" in the sky (firmament / comms groups) is making it harder for comms-aware people to "read the news" in the stars (celebrity media).
In other words, there are too many independent creators covering the news, that the legacy media comms watchers are having a hard time getting their message out among all the noise.
Think of it like Germans in WW2 switching to very obtuse radio frequencies to get messages out as the war waged on and most of their frequencies were being heavily monitored.
...
Approaching it at another angle, perhaps it's also talking about conglomerate creators like VTubers and the like who have sprung onto the scene and are likely to be running comms.
Try to understand, the majority of comms-aware people are old fogles who have no idea about the hip and happening trends that occur under their dystopian oligarchy. Having to now understand what VTubers are in order to understand any comms they are being conscripted to send/interpret is a massive hurdle they are likely not coping well with. I suspect they would have to resort to new comms networks like these to escape any of their legacy sources having been infiltrated or flipped by the White Hats. Too many old fixtures to have to replace means it's sometimes better to start new, even if it requires you have to learn new trends and technologies.
Notable quotes that sound fishy on their own:
Astronomers are very used to viewing the sky and dealing with interference, often originating from aircraft or the occasional satellite. However, the goal of mega-constellations is to engulf the entire planet, leaving no place untouched. Mega-constellations alter our collective view of the stars. And there is currently no known way to remove them.
The authors of that study conclude we are collectively experiencing a new type of "skyglow" as a result: a phenomenon in which the brightness of the sky increases due to human-made light pollution.
In other words, scientific observations of the sky are already at risk of being rendered redundant. If this excess skyglow increases even more, observatories are at serious risk.
Desecrating the sky impacts Indigenous sovereignty as it limits access to their knowledge system, in the same ways desecrating the land has removed First Peoples from their countries, cultures and ways of life.
Currently, native fauna such as the tammar wallaby, magpie, bogong moth and marine turtles are experiencing a reduction in populations and quality of life due to the impacts of light-pollution.
So this is implying that these indigenous people who have memorized all the visible objects in the night sky are now all too stupid to say, "Nah, that one's a Starlink."
20 bucks says whoever wrote this article in their actual life experiences probably scoffs and turns the other way anytime they see an aboriginal, before they proceed to virtue signal online about how much they care for them.

I think this is comms.

My goodness
Well the Aussie aboriginals can just add one more god to their list. "The god of space & comms"
Camps or holds them down and jabs them against their will!
To be fair, I don't want our airspace to look like it did in Wall-E...
So this is implying that these indigenous people who have memorized all the visible objects in the night sky are now all too stupid to say, "Nah, that one's a Starlink."
