Ditto. Difficult to multitask on a mobile device properly or efficiently. Not sure how most non-techies get by on mobile devices only.
OP's question doesn't really make sense to me, seeing as how it's up and running on Apple products. Don't believe anyone knows why it's taking so long to onboard desktop and Android.
I use a desktop I built over 10 years ago. Other devices can't do what my desktop can. I've never seen a phone, tablet, or laptop with over 100TB of storage, room shaking sound from huge speakers, and a big TV for a monitor. I use a lot of software that can't run on anything else.
It would take even longer for Truth Social to incorporate Twitters coding process as their own. Hang tight, Truth Social is just taking a bit of time with software development, like every other software project.
All the inner workings of Truth Social and it's algorithms would be back end code and likely independent of platform. Migrating it to Android or to the Web for browser access would be front end code that probably won't change any of the core functionality of the service. Limiting their service to iOS is probably just a beta test.
Great theory. I too prefer to use my desktop for everything and have thought about why the desktop version isn't yet available. I think there are several reasons for it.
1.) Device (iPhone/iPad) based applications give more control over end-to-end encryption by utilizing unique private SSL/TLS keys.
2.) Making the application accessible via the web you're increasing your potential attack surface. Now your enemies have more tools at their disposal to hack into your servers. This is probably the biggest reason it's not available as a web-browser based application yet.
3.) Easier to authenticate human users because you can require a verified phone number.
LOL, why would you touch that even with a 6 foot pole? The algorithms Twitter uses is toxic and anti-human. The only reason to open source it to let the world know how exactly they control humanity.
