Did they bioengineer a tick that makes people allergic to red meat? Prevalent in D.C. area.

Yes, I believe it is very plausible that it was weaponized years ago starting by 'reverse engineering' pig organ transplants in humans. This is called 'xenotransplantation'. The problem then was organ rejection as a result of the pig's Galactose-alpha-1,3-galactose (α-gal) (Alpha-gal) sugars. The Alpha-gal sugar does not exist in humans as it does in most mammals.
The following article will give you an idea of how they overcame this problem so that animal xenotransplants are readily accepted in the human body. The scientific method requires the isolation of what is at issue. Once it is identified then it is a matter of time before figuring out how to manipulate its process and manufacture. If it is understood then it can be manipulated for whatever purpose (weaponization) is being funded.
How pig organs made their way into humans: The slow advance to transplant kidneys and hearts
Had a park ranger pull up and describe this condition to me a while back.
I suspect there's some bioweapon experimentation going on with respect to ticks and lupus, but it's going to be a very long while till we get to the bottom of it.
Reason number 3 to raise backyard chickens, they eat ticks
Look into Plum Island NY and Operation Paper Clip. I can’t remember the “scientist” name, but shortly after WWII the Army imported this Nazi scientist who was engaged in bio-warfare. This guy, ironically enough had been experimenting in Germany with Ticks and their ability to transmit disease. His goal at the time was trying to figure out how to get ticks to infect Jews with something that would take them out. Supposedly he came here and continued his research. Supposedly this is where Lyme disease originated. Home boy was successful in getting the ticks to transmit a virus to humans and allegedly some of these ticks escaped/were released from Plum Island.
