Justice can be twisted to suit just about any point of view.
And maybe that's a problem. At least when we were recognized as a Christian country, there were a lot of good morals and ideals that we upheld in unity about what justice was.
Even if we didn't all share the same religion, we at least commonly agreed on things like loving our country, freedom under all circumstances, and a common moral compass.

Justice is easy to understand. If I M stronger than you and take your shit it is unjust unless you agree to it.
Comscience is habit pattern. A seared conscience doesn't see what is just. Any decent person understands right and wrong and just acts.
