Chief Justice Roberts, who reportedly joined the liberal judges on the court in the upcoming decision, was trying to barter with the conservative judges in their negotiations. Roberts is reportedly willing to uphold the Mississippi law that would ban abortion at 15 weeks of pregnancy.

Because other states could just regulate earlier. While I don't agree with earlier than 15 as much, it would be a really good national standard. States who regulate earlier than 15 weeks can tell the federal Gov to fuck off and see the 10th Ammendment. But with overturning RvW, will just make abortion illegal in some and all 9 months in others which I veinimemtly dispise because then we are allowing Americans to kill fully developed babies right before term. Completely understand. From a secular political standpoint a good compromise makes sense, and is indeed attractive.
For me, this has always been one of those core values, so no. No negotiation possible. Beliefs require I stay strong on this one.
