Here’s a good example or two of some of the replies:

For me it was 1. the vax mandates 2. not listening to generals and causing Afganistan to fall through incompetence 3. Giving up on oil independence and buying it from our enemy Russia 4. Biden not admitting he would pack the court 5. WIDE open Southern Border. 6. Could go on

Another reply:

What opened your eyes? For me, it’s when I retired and had the time to do my own research on issues. I realized my media sources weren’t reporting accurately. Before, I had always been so busy with work/family that I just followed the party line/legacy media statements of issues

Another:

I recently walked away from the left side. I have a DMV appointment tomorrow and I'm going to register as a republican. It just makes more sense now. Will I lose friends? Probably. Even though I'm civil with people. But I'm sure I'll gain new ones too.

You’ve got to check out this Tweet! Made my day!

Sorry I couldn’t add another picture to show you the litany of replies from once- serious liberals who have walked away. I wanted to be sure you saw the Tweet so you could go look up the tweet yourself.

I was a solid lefty. It's painful to change and it causes problems in your relationships because your lefty friends and family turn out to be the least tolerant of other ideas.

Me in 2003. (I was 50) Creature from Jekyl Island, Road to Serfdom, and How the Mind Works.

I had time to read, and ability to think. I kept digging.

My friends abandoned me for asking uncomfortable questions.

How the Mind Works.

Steven Pinker? I read that a long time ago and have forgotten it. maybe I should re read it.

Yeah. It was pretty mind blowing for me. I’ve since moved on from evolutionary biology myself, but it’s a decent book. I read it and immediately reread it. Then more of his stuff. Blank Slate was explosive too. I especially liked the bit about the Bower Birds. It jarred me into re-examining my worldview. I didn’t stop doing that. Just kept digging. Now I’m here. The mother lode of information gold. We’re RICH I tell ya!!!
We have it ALL!!!

I was right wing since I was 18, I was a bit harder back then I had more fire in my blood, was a member of BNP for years.

I hated and still hate the mass immigration of Muslims bit what I hated more was my fellow countrymen falling for the more the merrier bullshit.

I felt betrayed as everyone followed the current thing and sold our country out, I'm still pretty salty over it all.

I figured out at some point that if you displace a country's population with another, then the country will not be the same. it'll be more like the source countries the replacement population came from.

So, for example, if Muslims move from India and Pakistan to a better life in a UK city and they take over local politics and demographics, all they are doing is expanding Pakistan and India and compressing the UK, which is already small.

Maybe the immigrants understand this and maybe they don't. I think it depends on the person.

It took me until my twenties or thirties to realise this because my leftist training is that people are equivalent and the cultural background society members have does not effect the overall culture and success of society. That's craziness of course.

When I worked this out, I didn't tell anyone immediately.

I told my wife about demographics and destiny a couple of years ago and the Kalergi plan, she just got really angry with me because she could see I was right, but it was wrongthink.

Maybe I'm guilty of selling out the country by being left for many years. I would understand if you thought so.

I'm glad you realised it brother, it wasn't just you it was the whole nation.

We took a lot of shit in the early years, had to be careful who you speak to as you could lose your job, lose friends and family or get stabbed by a newcomer.

I'm happy that were are finally talking these topics again and more people finally see the conditioning and genocide of Europe.

It was horrible watching everyone be tricked into our own ethnic cleansing and seeing how much they wanted to show how much a better person they were.

The last election we had, the majority we gave Boris gave me a lot of hope, that all is not lost.

The only problem now is apathy

Love seeing Scott still out there fighting the good fight. Some of MAGA are still of the old school stodgy ultra conservative mindset, but regardless we got the best gays folks!

The problem that progressives have: It’s like a train without breaks:

The change they are asking for becomes hijacked by more extreme people as it keeps going.

Since there is no vetting process. The crazies will attach themselves onto the movement.

When that happens. More centralist progressives will jump off the train.

Every human being needs a line and restraint. The progressives movement will always destroy itself.

Some change is needed for sure. Some cultures will naturally become outdated due to innovation of superior ideas.

But even those changes should be monitored and slowly put into place.

I was a liberal democrat. I voted for Democrat up until the 2nd term of Obama. He called for transparency during his campaign promise, but hid more things than anyone else. I changed course when I saw him running for the 2nd term. I knew he was bad business. When choosing between Trump and Hillary, it was still hard because I did not like Trump's loud mouth. To me, he sounds obnoxious. Glad I chose him instead of Killary.

When I moved out of the blue state last year, on that same day we moved, I got a text from the dems asking me to run for office and they will show me the rope if I am interested. It was funny. I have not had that kind of text since.

Just because I changed course doesn't mean I am a Republican. There's lots of Rinos out there also. I have to decide on what I am voting for and make my own decision.

Voting for the candidate rather than the party may seem to make sense, but it's what always leads to gridlock. A party must prevail in order to get anything done.
