I've got a lot of doubts about time travel. If someone had discovered time travel, the cabal's control of the world could have been prevented by stopping their actions the last hundred years. If you could go into the future to see the outcomes you could go into the past to prevent the moves that brought those future outcomes.
That's a cool hypothetical, but what if they tried that and still ended with the same result, just at a later point in time? What if to truly extinguish the cabal, we had to go through all this? It's like that scene in Avengers when Dr. Strange has tried all the possibilities to defeat Thanos, but only one worked, and that one that worked was at the cost of Iron Man's life.
