Trust USPS much? Me neither.

About a decade ago I had a very sizable tax refund stolen. Here’s the thing. It was going to a USPS post office box... it never made it. So, from the IRS to the PO Box my refund check went missing. It gets better. The person who stole it, cashed it in some podunk trailer park bank in Mississippi. From google earth the bank literally looked like it was in one of those portable construction site offices in the middle of some small redneck rural town.
Now mind you, I’ve never in my life been to Mississippi... I live in Los Angeles. After hours of interrogations from the IRS fraud Dept. They finally determined that I didn’t forge my own name/nor did I cash the check. Fuck the USPS. Bunch of thieving pieces of shit.
Apparently, I was told after I was cleared of any wrong doing that during those years 2008-13 that there was a ring of thieves stealing them from within the USPS. My main issue is with the dumbasses at the bank in Mississippi someone had to be on the inside there too. Really, someone from LA is moving to the poorest most rural town in Mississippi and held on to a very sizable refund check for two months and decides to cash it months after it was issued? Yeah, I hope the bank ate it on that one.
I used to work for them as a temp during Christmas holidays from college. You don't want to send even $100 gift card let alone cash.
On the serious side, I run a small business. I have been using UPS although it is 5 times as expensive. I don't want to have to refund the customers.
Try to get a refund from the post office, despite paying for priority and insurance. They want all the receipts of what you sent. I always ask for signature confirmation75% of the time they just leave it or sign for the receiver and leave it anyhow. Except for one instance, my gift cards and cash have always arrived. Sometimes at Christmas time priority has taken 7-10 days though! Priority does not “guarantee“ 2-3 days. The Covid excuse was used a lot for mail delays.
USPS sucks big time.
The 2000 mules election theft has been compared to cartel drug trafficking.
Now this pops up https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/2019/05/03/rochester-greece-drug-busts-net-3-kilograms-cocaine-and-80-k-cash/1094460001/
Makes sense.
Actually I meant to grab the recent article, last week other arrests were made in Rochester for postal workers using the mail to ship their drugs... I'll find it. But I'm leaving this older article here because it's the same place

Here it is

In 2013 many of my wedding invitations never made it to the guests. Have not trusted USPS since then.
Yeah, one time I tried mailing money to someone. It was stolen by a postal worker. Fucking assholes...
IIRC, some states' ballot envelopes had info on the outside that allowed identification of each sender's political party. 'Betting more of one party's ballots made it to their destinations than did the ballots from the other party.
So, s ballot that isn't identified with the "preferred" party, it'd be better to vote in person or hand-deliver it to the polling location.
Makes me remember when Trump called them out over the losing deal they made with Amazon.
How could they make money to stay in business? They don't need to, they are corrupt just like the Government, hospitals, schools, and MSM
I sent GPUs through USPS on a couple occasions.
They did a fine job, and actually did so ahead of schedule and cheaper than UPS or FedEx.
This apparently does not apply to envelope mail, however.
Perhaps it should be properly investigated as to why that is.
I get what your saying, agree about mail in ballots. But I think USPS itself is pretty amazing, maybe I've been lucky with only good experiences.
It may not be perfect but people forget how it was America that set the world standard for mail with our postal service. We have it pretty guckin' good. it's crazy it works as well as it does. The sheer volume goes right over people's heads, we're so darn spoiled.
Could always be better, but consider 2019: the Postal Service delivered 143 billion pieces of mail to 160 million addresses, operating 31 k post offices. Wild shit.
I understand the point you're making! I'm just talking about USPS itself, most postal workers are good people, but 100% no doubt someone is def pulling strings and can manipulate USPS to meet their agenda. Trump probably filled its ranks with spies and the truth will be revealed when it needs to be.
you are = you're
Even though others may attack you with stupid names, I appreciate you.
