It's not really an analogy though, because it's exactly the same thing.
The law isn't "forcing" women to give birth, it's their own bodies. If your pregnancy reaches 9 months and you don't give birth, you're going to have some serious problems.
I wouldn't worry about the issue too much the next generation is going to have a hard time reproducing if the shot is right
No it is not!!
Drama drama drama!!
What it is saying the prevention is not as good as it should be...there are herbs that stop pregnancy ever happening.there are also quick and easy ways.
..like cutting off male appendages but some men may think this is too extreme.
.but there are lots of ways to stop sperm reaching the target...but no..men don't want their sperm involved..it's the women who have to bear the brunt of it.
If men woke up one morning and really did have a foreign body inside that they would be responsible for for the next twenty years..have to expel it while undergoing great pain and possible injury or death ..and repeat that year after year.....there would be no abortion clinics...ways would be found very quickly to prevent pregnancy ..without operations by either party.
.big pharma already knows about those but wants the money!!
Also mothers who would like to carry the baby to term but not want to look aftervit..perhaps feel inadequate or frightened...should be helped financially and emotionally to do this even if the baby is going to be adopted straight away if the mother is still not wanting to be a mum for whatever her reasons are. They are her business and her business alone.
Not everyone wants to be a mother..same as not everyone wants to be a father..given the absentee father's..the ratio of absentee father's even if they never actually leave the home is very high indeed.
This is not just a woman's responsibility..the men are equally to blame ..if not more so as lots of women are raped ...inside and outside marriage.
Don't have sex if you can't handle the consequences.
The vast majority of abortions are NOT rape so that's a secondary topic for discussion.
Did you know they sell the body parts of the aborted babies? It's actually an industry.
Yes I do know they sell body parts..it's disgusting and criminal.
Don't talk about the vast majority..!ets talk about rape..and it's next cousin..family pressure...and feeling obligated...
The replies I have had indicate that people are judgemental about some people not wanting to be responsible for another person for at least twenty years or want,/can't afford the cost either.
In third world countries a couple will have lots of children so to have someone who will give them food and shelter in their old age...not because they actually wanted to have them.
What did yahweh say.. honour your father and mother as no one else is going to look after them...I am paraphrasing but they were not allowed to be the responsibility of anyone but the children in their old age. All the commandments had a death penalty as the punishment..
There were 168 for the tribe of Jacob . Go and look them up..still there
You don’t just ‘wake up one morning’ and find yourself with a ‘foreign’ body inside yours. . Just like you don’t wake up one morning and find yourself fat. You make decisions that lead to that consequence.
Millions upon millions of women manage to go their whole lives without finding themselves in the position of being pregnant with an unwanted child Do better and you can too
And million and millions. ..don't. they wake up and realise they are pregnant and did not want to be...and lots of prospective father's the same...
And no..I don't think using the example of bring fat is the same thing at all
Sex does.not have to be tied to children.
Why you think I am in that position or even in the child bearing age range I have no idea. Can't you look at a problem without being personally involved?
I think it's intellectually irresponsible to separate the act of sexual intercourse from the POTENTIAL outcome of bearing children. It's not always the end result, but to act surprised when it is the end result is ridiculous.
Sex can be an enjoyable activity. Wanting to have sex without becoming pregnant is reasonable. Expecting natural processes to stop because they are inconvenient or unwanted is also ridiculous.
It's not a case of expecting...it's a case of getting to where sex and pregnancy are not linked...
But they are. They always have been, and they always will be. Pregnancy is a natural consequence of sexual intercourse. To think that it isn't, or to think that "it's a case of getting to where sex and pregnancy are not linked" is mental gymnastics.
Not so...i think it won't be that long before there will be that choice...
wow, your brain actually works like that?
Yes I does.
Also… the rape argument is a deflection. Less than 1% of abortions are due to rape. Stay on topic. It’s about inconvenience
Here's one that's guaranteed to work 100% at no cost to anyone!! Ready for this super-secret tip passed down through the ages by the wisest of Sages?
Don't have random unprotected sex with random men.
Granny’s wisdom 101. So simple a 5th grader can explain it.
Women are raped every day.
