We actually did land. But we had no ability to transmit the footage. Nor bring back anywhere near the amount of equipment they said we did. So they faked the footage and most of the “Official” equipment on public display for the Propaganda Win.
This is the scenario I lean towards now. With "the eyes of the world watching" that summer, what would have happened if, say, the LEM couldn't lift off from the moon? They had no way of knowing if that would happen or not and I just can't picture them leaving that possibility to chance. The whole world would have to know that 2 men were left to die on the moon and there was nothing anyone could do to save them. The deaths of the Apollo 1 astronauts on the pad had been jarring enough.
Best just to have someone knock up some good footage/effects for the plebes to watch on TV where everything ends well, just as it was supposed to. If anything had happened to the actual astronauts, it would have given them time to bring out a plausible cover story, like "They died on re-entry" or "We didn't get to the capsule in time and they drowned in the ocean".
I was thinking something similar, that Trump will win in a landslide and then the Dems will accuse him of "cheating".
And somehow the whole transfer will be slowed down or stopped because of the "threat to democracy".
If they just shuffle the chairs and faces around a bit, THEN people will believe and trust them again.
For people who undoubtedly think they are clever, they are pretty stupid. They haven't caught on that the old playbook doesn't apply anymore.

That's what I got from it. Putting up a video of someone doing something illegal on your property is not the same as them being put on trial.
I have a suspicious mind and I've met a few interesting cops in my time. My first thought was that someone on the force is either stealing packages themselves, or they've set up some sort of ring of thieves and they're afraid that video evidence will lead back to them.
We were always told about "the ghettos" - how bad they were, Jewish people basically confined to those areas, etc. Horrible non-jewish people forcing the Chosen to stay in their own little areas.
Doing a little historical reading, I came across the fact that it wasn't the locals in power who "ghettoized" the Jewish population. The leading rabbis preferred their community to be locked down.They didn't want their young men and women to "wander off the plantation", so to speak, or to have outsiders coming in and spreading new ideas. They wanted utter control of the people beneath them.
There is so much of this stuff that is just word games and psychological manipulation. Have a rock-solid community totally under your control but present it to the outside world (and to your own flock) as a situation that's been forced on you by outside evils. You get to instill paranoia in your own people AND attempt to make outsiders feel guilty for something they haven't done.
If the outsiders feel guilty, they'll be more susceptible to giving you leeway for your actions.
Getting beyond the whole political battle, if they had such high-level dirt on Trump (and then by their own admission, Epstein), why didn't they release it to help the victims? To get the whole process going, to round up and try all these people?
They had evidence of highly-criminal activity and sat on it, just like a blackmailer would. Is that what they're saying here? That the women and children trafficked meant nothing back in the days of #Metoo because...what reason could they give?

My first thought was - what if you had a lot of "evidence" that you needed to get rid of in a hurry? Too many bodies to feed to pigs (and you'd need access to a pig farm). However you do have a boat...

Interesting point. I would assume that the people who worked for Epstein were either in on it (higher level workers) or were forced to work there (lower levels). Imagine being dumped there (after being trafficked from Eastern Europe or something) and being told that the only way off the island is to swim for it. You could be a witness to everything that's going on but what choice do you have? If you try to tell anyone - you're dead. If you try to escape - you're dead. If you decide you're going to do a crappy job as a form of protest - same result, you are easily replaceable.

For me, it's funny that this has come up now. I've been reading Alan Butler's "Intervention" and he's suggesting that what we are seeing isn't "aliens from another planet" at all. He thinks it's us from the future - that at some point in the future, we develop/discover time travel and all these UFOs etc are just the vessels that are used to come back, to allow Future Humans to move around.

Does it sound far-fetched? As compared to what? That very high-tech alien beings from light years away took some sort of special interest in us? If we are just like "cattle" to them (i.e. a food source), why are there stories throughout history of these beings aiding mankind? The book was published in 2012, by the way. I'm only a third of the way through it but it's been fascinating. Read it or not. Take it in or not. Makes no difference to me, ultimately.

The idea of "snuff films" hit the media in the 70s. It was quite the thing for a couple of news cycles. Someone claimed that they had seen one and the media leapt to tell everyone that it just couldn't happen. No way would anyone make such a film! And if they did make a snuff film, they'd definitely be caught! And then the whole thing vanished.
As I got older and learned more about human nature (and how much life is worth in certain countries), I came to realize that it absolutely is possible. People will do anything for money. If you're in a country where kids can be sold into sex slavery, how far of a step is it to have them killed while someone films it? The same laws or moral code that might prevent such a thing in the West wouldn't apply because the criminals in places like SE Asia just wouldn't care.
But the media fell all over themselves to tell people that such a thing could never exist, which kind of makes me think that they knew all about it and were desperate to keep it hidden.
It's interesting how many comments on that video are exceptionally positive.
