As a former professional baseball player, I'd just like to say that baseball fans/players are some of the most patriotic Americans you will find across any sports/entertainment

I apologize if you were ever drafted by or played for for the Pittsburgh Pirates while Bob Nutting was involved with the team (basically the mid 1990s to today). I spent a lot of money supporting that team over the years. I should have done my part to allow that team to move from Western PA back in the mid 1990s knowing what I know now. I couldn't imagine having enough talent to be noticed by MLB and drafted only to wind up on a team that doesn't give one single fuck about its players or winning.
No professional player should be forced onto a team that does nothing to win nor should they be associated with an owner like Bob that exists to only take public funds to enrich himself. That scumbag's philosophy has wrecked many player's careers and has justified the theft of millions of dollars from the public so that his welfare-funded stadium (which is mostly empty anymore) looks good. He is a toilet bug.

I remember a few MLB players kneeling in 2020 when the BLM craze was on (Mookie Betts and a few others), but most players refused to kneel for the National Anthem.
All good and that's correct - I think that has a lot to do with baseball's culture being "America's Pastime".
Sports diving into political issues like this just exposes the deep state more and more in my opinion. Hopefully, enough can see.
