Those that serve and die in the line of duty or die after a lifetime of service deserve recognition for their sacrifice. The American flag is a symbol of Freedom. Alternate flags have represented us since our inception. You do not understand what our flag is and you must have not served to protect and defend it, otherwise you would not be claiming desecration. I'm pretty sure you may be unaware of the definition of desecration. The thin blue line, the thin red line, the black out uniform flag on the military uniforms are versions of our flag that represent individuals serving this nation. Whatever issues you have with police are your own. I fly this flag to honor my sister who served the police for over 20 years. She died in March, just a couple months before her 50th birthday. She served with honor and integrity. She did not die of service related injuries, she battled cancer for three years. Up until the last month, she worked from her bed helping other detectives solve crimes by identifying suspects from video surveillance. She could identify suspects by video surveillance and provide the name of the suspect, known associates and the crimes they committed, as well as when they were arrested. No other detective had this type of memory and no one could identify the suspects. She loved her job and loved to put criminals in jail to protect the victims of their crimes. Not all cops are good, but most of them are and they do the best they can under shit conditions. Walk a mile in their shoes and then you can judge.
It is a symbol of the American government. "... and to the republic, for which it stands."
It does NOT have a blue line running through it. THAT is a descration.
They can pick some other symbol to show their beliefs, but they may not desecrate the American flag -- which is NOT a symbol of government employees in uniform.
You are making false and defamatory statements against me, without any knowledge whatsoever.
FUCK YOU.
No, they are not. They are desecrations of the American flag.
See Title 4 United States Code to see what the American flag looks like.
And whatever bootlicking you want to do is your problem.
Nothing at all to do with "public service." So what? Everybody dies, in case you didn't know that.
Some are good, but most do NOT honor their oath of office, and I consider that a "bad cop."
Your personal story, no matter how heart-warming YOU might think it is, is irrelevant to the topic: The thin blue line flag IS a desecration of the American flag. Find a different symbol.
It’s different when we do it. I don’t think you understand that.
I can't help it if you have a false sense of patriotism. You obviously haven't served and are undoubtedly an armchair patriot. I served and still serve today. I have 29 years of DoD service. You don't have any idea what you are talking about. The flag is merely a symbol, it is not a sacred object to be worshipped. Your idea of a false and defamatory statement is an inferment by your lack of understanding and wisdom based upon your statement. The people that actually served understand what we served and why we served it. If you have served, you didn't learn anything by your service. The career folks have an obviously more mature understanding of what this country stands for and what is at stake in our service to the ideals of freedom and independence. Your opinion of variants of the flag to represent various groups is your own issue. You are apparently fixed on your opinion and have the right to do so, but your opinion is of no value to me. Good luck in life, you are going to need it.
If you display that desecrated flag in Washington, DC, you are a criminal, according to federal law:
-- 4 USC 3
But you really don't give a damn about the laws of the country you claim to support, do you?
You can't claim to be a patriot, while also desecrating the flag you claim to honor.
You are a hypocrite.
Pick a different symbol for your virtue signaling.
The flag does not belong to corrupt cops. The past 2 years proved to anyone who didn't have their head up their ass that most cops are in it for the paycheck, and only pay lip service to patriotism.
When they changed our flag to to include the Ukrainian colors, it was awful to see. None of them where charged.
I know it probably sounds petty considering everything going on but I hope this gets added to their long list of crimes.
If they served for their pensions and stayed quiet when police commit travesties like this, they deserve the rope. Fuck the police.
