although the above article is fake (hence my phrasing as a 'hypothetical' and the article being dated in the future in 2024!), it's feasible to build this as a weekend project at this point, so it won't remain fake for very long now!
This method of using an AI echo chamber may or may not be new, but it’s an extension of the old trick of the left using insincere people to create echo chambers for recruitment and indoctrination.
It's in the title itself --- "hypothetical" --- but people who barely even read the title are so addicted to ragebait they'll eagerly bite anything. It's addiction plain and simple, to feel angry at something.
That, or they just don't know what "Hypothetical" means to begin with.
Exactly. Most of the world is Heaven banned in a corporate echo chamber. They wake up and they can’t wait to get their daily fix of orange man bad and sodomy good.
One thing I notice about bot accounts on twitter and the like is that they are the accounts that post a lot but never reply. I don't doubt that they will become smarter and be able to carry on conversations and eventually fool people, but we're not quite there yet.
Heck, I remember talking to Eliza decades ago, but she was pretty limited, and sure, we have digital assistants in our phones and homes now, but if someone online just keeps responding with "here's what I found on wikipedia for that" they aren't going to be very convincing.
Anyway, my original comment was that this is a fake article created either as satire or a creative writing thought experiment, and people here are taking it as some shocking fact, which is unfortunate because when it does come around, technology like this will be used by people on both sides of any argument, and we all need to be able to spot fakes.
This isn't real.

Like crisis actors crying for kids that were never theirs.
Got any sauce for that claim, I’m leaning that direction but need proof
True - Look up The frankfort school on U Tu
I disagree. Twitter has been using bots and fake likes to make a leftist haven for years now.
Sure, but that's not what this fake article is about.
All social media has been; even MySpace did it

Next it’ll be illegal to call out the artificial holographic world of video games and AI virtual reality as being fake
Perfect

"Hi y'all! Should I cut my pecker off?"
"Yes, do it! You'll be so much happier."
"Cutting off my penis cured my depression!"
Hmm. That story is about a guy who got shadowbanned, and got no replies to his comments. Nowhere does it say AI bots were responding.
Well, that's fun! But also, pretty obvious.
