What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
I asked my ortho if my insurance would cover a leg brace so I can put off my total knee replacement, and after about 3 weeks of waiting, I got a call saying it does. Yay! I hope I can be disciplined enough to wear it as I need to. I also got a custom made mouthguard for my TMJ as I grind my teeth in my sleep and get stressed out.
I'm falling apart, but God is putting me back together. ;)
I did exactly this. I have good and bad weeks. I wear it about half the time, all the time when it flairs up. I figure if nothing else, it will prevent a tear when it gives out.
I'm hoping to get my money's worth out of it at least.
If it’s anything like mine, you will.
I just spoke with a chiropractor in my town yesterday. He has been doing stem cell injections (from umbilical chords from healthy births). The injections are not cheap. $5000 each (of course insurance won’t cover it. No money there for big pharma) but he says where back surgery has about a 40% success rate this has about 80%. I personally know someone whose parent in their late 70s maybe early 80s had it a few weeks ago and the improvement is stunning. He treats backs, hips, knees, shoulders etc with this. Side note. He also does an oxygenated blood treatment that has amazing results on a lot of different autoimmune diseases and made a dramatic difference for a patient who was legally blind after a histoplasmosis infection. These are $150 each and a course I’d usually about 10 treatments.
Acupuncture wouldn't hurt. It is the most relaxing thing I've felt in a long time, and those tense areas that sometimes worsen conditions melt away.
My acupuncture guy was a physiotherapist before he saw the value of acupuncture when someone did it on him to help with his shoulder.
Good luck with that. I know exactly what it's like. I've read your other post(s) on the topic and feel your pain. o7
Thank you! It's not fun, especially to have a misstep and wrench the blasted thing.
