You paying for something doesn't mean you don't own it.

You had to exchange something for the ownership of it. You still own it.

Now if you want to talk about government being able to "legally" confiscate something as "evidence" or whatever, that's a different story.

You had to exchange something for the ownership of it. You still own it.

Right again. As I said, you have to pay for stuff in order to have a "right" to own it.
