What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
Sounds about right! I gotta check about the testing, it's technically flying to a US territory so idk how that works. Totally get you on pandemic being a load of BS and not wanting to contribute to the stupidity.
Where are you flying from?
Yeah, my husband couldn't go to his father's funeral because of the plandemic restrictions over there. Don't think he really has closure because he couldn't be there when he died and buried. All we got was a short video from his nephew which was not of the funeral. And they were limiting the amount of people who were allowed to attend, it was freaking ridiculous!
That is a damn atrocity. My heart goes out to your husband, and all those in the same situation.
I'm flying out from Newark or JFK in NYC. Newark is less of a hassle to get to and I'm finding good rates on the flights.
I was actually born in NJ, still have a few family members that still live there.
Well can you find a good rate for my in-law coming from PR who wants to come visit us here in Bama soon (like in a few weeks)? All I've been finding is like $800+ RT. I'm usually good at it also but lately it's hard to focus on looking for flights when I have an 11 wk old puppy running around getting into everything & house training and getting rooms ready for our daughter & grandkids coming for fathers day. I'm about ready to pull my hair out, lol.
Haha I know! What I always use is http://flights.google.com
I've always found the best rates there and on the calendar, once you select the departure date, you can see the cheapest return flight in all of the remaining dates.
They always go through the airlines directly so you don't have to fight with middlemen like Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.
Just know that the cheapest flights, economy basic, usually don't allow a carry-on, just a personal bag like a bookbag or something which is fine if it's a quick few day trip like a weekend. Always gotta check the specifics, I'm sure you know that but it bears repeating.
As always, check from multiple airports if possible. JFK airport in NYC seems to have higher rates to San Juan than EWR in Newark, for example. I can also check Laguardia but I like the rates I'm seeing from Newark and it's so easy to get to and from for me.
