This lady was fired for having a conceal carry permit, not a gun. She was considered a security risk and escorted outside like a criminal. She should sue.

There should be a different avenue for resolution. Any time a city or state gets sued and pays out, that is TAXPAYER money, it isn't government money from some inexhaustible, non-taxpayer source. I agree, she should file a lawsuit, but having your neighbors pay for something the city did is not the right way to address this. It is no different than the house of representatives paying out from their "indiscretion" pool to pay out to interns that have had affairs with jackholes in the house.
Having city people bonded/insured and such would make the payout come from them vs the city itself. That way they will be more cautious about making illegal decisions like this, as they would have to deal with the repercussions personally.
I think you are on to something here fren. We need to implement this legal strategy of going after these people individually if they are bonded. When it affects their ability to be gainfully employed, then they may think twice before doing crap like this. You are right. As it now stands, they could care less because the taxpayer is the one that picks up the tab for their bad behavior.
Agreed. The current systems of monetary punishment for illegal/immoral activity is just as destructive as some of the current systems of financial reward. Businesses using inferior parts that cause their products to be dangerous to consumers look good to their shareholders, but when caught and fined just raise the price of their products, passing the pain back onto consumers' backs. Hospital systems, currently under beast control, offer financial incentives for killing their patients (think Remdesivir and respirators). Again, good people suffer the brunt of these policies.
I believe there was an issue in Florida where DeSantis put some law in place where commissioners could have their personal property confiscated if they participated in their stereotypical corrupt behavior. Guess how quickly the beasts stopped trying to pull that BS?
