He is not a white hat...gray at best. Barr has a dirty past and there are folks on both sides who likely have blackmail on him.
Barr is Deep State. He served former CIA Director, former VP, and President George H.W. Bush as AG.
The only thing he's been deeper in is a bucket of KFC.
Will this public evisceration and flaying of Bill Barr by Trump finally put to rest the fantasy that Barr is some kind of super secret white hat whom Trump deep down loves and respects as a strong defender of justice?

People sometimes get an ideé fixe, and then whatever happens is made to fit that paradigm.
If Barr says or does something positive or gets lavished with praise by Trump, he's a beloved bagpiper in a white hat.
If he gets verbally drawn and quartered in public by Trump, which is what has happened ever since Trump left office, well then Trump didn't mean it, it's disinfo, Barr's a white hat.
