No, because we elected a president that lowered it, and then they stole the election and immediately destroyed our energy independence on a level that actually hadn't been seen before.
to me, it's messed up when fuel prices change so drastically around the country, even within a small area that can happen, by over $0.50. There is definitely f***ery afoot.
Truth! I just think it's everything else happening in-tandem with the high gas prices whereas we didn't have the amount of fuc*ery with the other gas hikes. I will say, though, that in 2005 or whatever year Katrina happened, I doomed a lot because it felt like it was apocalyptic - gas went up then, too. Just not as much.
