These are Americans, regardless of what they, or you, believe. The President is the elected representative leader of Americans. He's not the elected representative of your or anyone else's church, theology or belief.
We know that corruption has infiltrated almost every institution. So, I'm by no means saying that these guys are clean. But who is?
But what I am saying is, accusing Trump of somehow being theologically damned or saying that meeting with mormon church leaders because, well, they're mormons, that's out of bounds. It's actually why there is the first amendment.
He met with the Pope and the Pope ended up looking like a whipped dog, and lip readers interpreted Trump to be telling the Pope to look through a dossier he was giving him and "wear your little red shoes." The Pope and all of his cardinals are pedophiles, the Catholic Church is the biggest human trafficking and homosexual rape organization on the planet, and the Mormon church is just as bad, just not as big.
We recently watched a really good 2022 miniseries on the subject. The 7-episode series, called Under the Banner of Heaven is based on the true story of a 1984 crime spree committed in the safe and religious LDS haven of SLC, Utah.
The story covers a devout Mormon detective's investigation into a ghastly murder and his discovery of back-room secrets and cover-ups in his beloved church and the involvement of some of its most respected and prominent members.
The detective's unwavering commitment to his "Heavenly Father' becomes tested when he realizes his lifetime worship of a religion and teachings is based on a lie. His church elders reveal their quest for power, control and sexual promiscuity cloaked in the name of piousness and the requirement of the LDS wives to be completely subservient and obedient to any demand put upon them by the men of their church.
Quite right. Church and state should stay separate..I don't need to know what religion or sexual activities politicians engage in in private. It's none of my business

Yeah fuck that. Mormon elders at that level are no more innocent than the Pope and his Cardinals.
Yet Trump met with the "pope".

It's a valid point. The reason Trump met with the Pope certainly seems to be to execute the operation (i.e. via how world tour).
I don't know myself that Mormon church is just as bad. Certainly not as big, but also, the Vatican has centuries of blackness.
But there are a ton of mormons who are also good people, and who practice good things, regardless of theological position.
I don't have an issue with Trump meeting with their leadership.
But can you name ANY sized church institution in the US that is NOT corrupted?
I agree.

I recommend watching it.
Well said.
