My dad in the 70s got this fancy TV kit that he put together. It was was a cheaper way to get a big color TV. It didn't have a remote though so he would make me and my brother change the channel for him cause he couldn't be bothered to get up and change it himself. Kek.

I used to have to walk 15 feet thru shag carpet just to change the TV channel.
... and then panic over the static discharge before turning the channel.
