that's what the CNA at the nursing home said when I asked why they were going back to quarantining patients. 'people aren't wearing masks' so covid is back.
Last Tuesday, our son arrived at his home airport 12 hours later than his original ticket stated. Why? 1st flight - pilot didn't show. 2nd flight - he overheard the pilot tell another employee that not only did his copilot not show, he also couldn't be found. This was American Airlines.
I flew JetBlue last weekend, didn't have any problems. Also was my first time flying since 2007, forgot about some of the finer details, like your ears popping a lot.
Do this: install Microsoft Flight simulator or X-Plane on your computer. Learn to fly the plane you generally take, 747 etc.
If shit hits the fan stand up and say "I'm a pilot, get me to the cockpit".
I'd rather an expert flight simulator player attempt a landing (with a 10% chance of success) than all pilots be dead and we crash. I heard these simulators can go towards real flight time ( but only for instrument flying).
Sorry you could not pay me to take a flight right now.
I used to fly 100k mi/yr. You couldn’t pay me to fly now. I did once in Dec ‘20 for a funeral. Not now.
Neighbor kid told us today this was because people stopped wearing masks and now everyone is getting sick.

Poor bastard.

Dead.
Probably.
Clot-shot to death.
Likely scenario

Fuel is also so expensive, they probably cancel all flights that are not full....
I have to travel for work and damn it plays on my mind that the pilots are poisoned

Better a long shot than nothing. Most commercial pilots I know have simulators.

At first I thought this was solely due to the vaxx requirements but now I'm wondering if this is part of their "No travel for you peasants!"
for the flyers out there: take notice to see if there are 'backup' pilots on board
