The Ted hate, to put it succinctly, is due to him being all hat and no cattle.

He sides with whomever he thinks is on the winning side, just like Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, John Cornyn, and the rest of the assholes.
Ted says all the right things, but his wife is Goldman Sachs. While he was out calling the globalists "vipers, his wife was working alongside them trying to turn America into the North American Union, a combination of America, Canada, and Mexico. He sided with the media, blaming Trump for the violence in Chicago during the primaries and hired Jeb Bush's team, including his brother Neil, when Jeb dropped out. He championed the Tea Party, then stabbed them in the back. Among many other things. Not to mention, when Trump hinted that Cruz's father was likely in Dallas when JFK was assassinated, Cruz immediately dropped out of the race. Would be very interested to know more about this.

Cassidy has been pretty fucking based though. He lost half his fan base by making based videos making fun of BLM and such. He was doing fine without it.
