I think he would add this today about GA
"IF its fake news, do not post it"
Yes, your statement should be added. However if all three statements were followed by everyone, there would be no Democrat party.
Meditations is a classic work. Everyone should read it, it is a very special thing to read, knowing it was written by a Roman Emperor filled with humility and humanity. The age of philosopher kings. To think, he, lord of the world at the time, had to face the depredations of fools, and spiteful disrespect, despite being a temperate man of honour. Puts your own suffering into context insomuch as there are no circumstances where you will avoid it. You must handle it.
Love me some Aurelius.

I have never seen a weak Aurelius quote. He is like the Roman Sun Tsu
Respect !
I just ordered a copy of his meditations.🤓
I recommend Epictetus as well
That’s included in the secondhand book I ordered.🤓🙏🏻
He’s mentioned in « Silence of the lambs »:
"What does he do, this man you seek?"
He tucks his sack back and wears comely lasses' skins as unitards because reasons.
Stoicism is lost on our generation. You have guys like jocko former bad ass seal speaking out loud about bad ass stuff.
Sorry dude, you should be in the dark. All of your kind should be in the dark.
I think about my grandfather. Given the order the night before that his platoon was charging the mountain side in the morning.
Liberation of Luzon.
The japanese were entrenched in the side of the mountain and had support tunnels everywhere. Pillboxes on high ground everywhere.
A friggin nightmare.
What did my grandfathers commanding officer say to him?
You have to keep your men pushing forward otherwise you will bottleneck the men behind.
Basically, a death sentance.
Only reason he survived was a shrapnel hit that knocked him out and the induced 30 day coma from the belly of a crappy boat back stateside.
He never mentioned a lick of that battle until just before his death when he told the story to my older brother.
Jocko has no clue what war is and we have no clue what war is. We listen to people like him as if they know.
Lol, there is a hell on earth we are completley oblivious to.
People should read Meditations by Aurelius. He knew the hell of war.
Because it is no longer taught in schools or by parents, which is completely by design. One of their main goals is to erase our traditional morals.
I'll tell you why. They've been brainwashed into thinking they are INCAPABLE of discovering the truth because muh too much missinfo on muh intardweebs. They've forgotten how to use the tools God gave them.
The really sad part is they CHOSE to allow that to happen and continue to choose to ignore all reminders. That part, I don't know why.
Aurelius and Seneca are just treasure troves of practical wisdom.
Because subversion and degeneracy in society
That all stopped when were told not to tell children what they’re doing is wrong or stupid.
