We don't know anything about the relationship of the woman with the girl. Maybe she's an adopted parent. The girl looks darker than you'd expect of a blonde mother. But we also aren't seeing the father either. Maybe he's a dark-haired, brown-eyed Italian, Spanish, or Lebanese guy. We don't know. Yes, her lanyard is rainbow colors. As a mother I can honestly say my girls always wore butterfly stuff. I mean honestly all little girls clothes seem to have floral and butterfly prints. But what is telling to me in this picture is the girl herself and the “mom” behind her. Mom is using her left hand to grab the girls wrist, why? I can’t tell without video. But the child is also placing something in her mouth. Her eyes indicate she is distracted with something that no one around her is looking at despite the old man falling down in front of her. This is bizarre, like how do you not watch a train wreck?
