If you look closely, there are 5 or 6 guys standing between Abe and the shooter. None of them are injured, yet Abe gets killed?? The shooter had a homemade shotgun. How did they all get missed? Then there are the two guys in the foreground (one of them is wearing a sash). They run a short distance then turn to hide behind the guardrail. Who does that? Why didn't they keep running?

They said it resembled a shotgun. If it was really a homemade weapon, it likely doesn't have a perfect seal, the bullet may be rudimentary as well. But it well could have been faked.

You get used to the RBG / Queen dragging it out so when a “ real” event happens the reporting becomes a bit more frantic and changes quickly, it was probably similar back in 63.
