Unions are literal mafia fronts. My great uncle had a trucking business and in the early 70s he was tricked into joining the Teamsters union because of muh bennefits. At the time he signed up he was only slinging gravel and after he forayed the business into asphalt, only to realize the added hassle of asphalt was not worth it so he stopped pursuing those jobs to focus on gravel. The Teamsters did not like the idea of him scaling back so he got a visit one day from some enforcers who were going to take him out back behind his garage and break his knees if he did not go back to hauling asphalt too. Hearing that story growing up the takeaway was greed but now I wonder if there was a more sinister motive like burying people under parking lots!
Alas there will be no leadership found. there will however be authorizations for direct deposit for the buyoffs and payoffs between members and pfizer.
