I thought the Brave Browser was clean. Get a load of this.

They're just random pictures. Click on "customize" and change the settings.
That's why I don't bother with other browsers and search engines, you never know. But with Edge & Bing, I know what I'm getting.
DDG, prime example, this topic, prime example. While it may not be Brave itself but an ad, it's still Brave allowing such ads to me shows their priorities. And they don't align with many on this board.
Brave doesn't directly control which ads appear. Just turn off the ads. Any website that gets ads from an ad provider will occasionally get ads that don't align with their site.
If Brave was trying to force something on you, they wouldn't allow you to turn off the ads.
Just turn off the ads and quit griping about it.
BTW, Bing is Microsoft crap.
I'm not griping about it jeez. BTW, thanks for your opinion, I'll file it right here under who cares.
No opinion, just facts.
Its opinion until you provide peer reviewed studies to support your "claims".
BOOOOOO! What is the best to use now? I’ve been using them exclusively.
Thank you!
me too. The Yandex search is helpful sometimes and I hear startpage is supposed to be pretty good.
You say get a load of this, but fail to tell us what it means to you.
What did you glean from this?
You must not use the Brave browser. It is the front page.
Can you be more clear please?
Your saying "Don't use Brave Browser?"
I only use it on my phone, and not that much.
I use StartPage with Firefox on my laptop.
... this is the third I see here today..
This is a paid AD, they call these "sponsored images", you get a few BATs when you have rewards on and you see one of these.
The one sus here is this "1inch dex aggregator" company, not Brave,
just click "customize" and turn the feature off.
Well obviously they’re approved by brave. Someone based would not approve this image. If brave was based they’d right now say ‘holy hell there is some Satan shit on our browser take that down right now’.
The ad company approved the ad. Read up on how sponsored ads work.
Turn off the ads. Problem solved. If it was a "Brave problem," you wouldn't be able to turn off the ads.
Your move.
🤷♂️ 9 out of 10 people wouldn't know what that image signifies if you showed it to em, same thing could be said about people responsible for green-lighting said ads, in fact we have no idea how this "green-lighting" process works.
For all we know this company from the AD is being tongue in cheek about it.
All I know is there's really not many options left if not for brave... they've been championing a bunch of decentralized technologies like IPFS, they're also heavy behind crypto, both of which are really bad news for the enemy.
There more browsers than are realised out there.
Chromium, Dianara, Dillo, Epiphany, Falkon, Konquerer, Slimjet, Otter, Librewolf, Qutebrowser, and?
I like Librewolf.
I tried Falkon but it's a bit too barebones for me...
Librewolf looks good, imma give it a try
