I don't trust this writer. We are all for exposing corrupt DNC antics globally as Putin is/has done in Ukraine and elsewhere, but Taiwan is different. It was and is a beacon of anti-Communism and capitalist prosperity which has been a stick in the craw of the Dragon of the CCP for 70+years.
It would be like inviting the Norks into the ROK because the ROK are part of the US's corrupt Military Industrial Complex - as though that solves anything more than giving the Norks what they wanted all along - the whole peninsula
The CCP has always wanted Taiwan back in its sphere of influence. They have been playing the long game. Where high value chip manufacturing and US industry are concerned, those clammoring for the fall of Taiwan to the CCP just to expose Biden's mischief like this Candestine guy does sounds more like he's a Tokyo Rose. He's just trying to get the devolutionists on board with his subversion message as a shadow cheerleader for Xi.
I am all for devolution. I am not at all in favor of a CCP invasion of Taiwan as Clandestine appers to be.
I happen to believe it would also be too destructively costly a card for Bejing to play.
Beware of Clandestine's true motives for writing what he does as he tries to appeal to whose readership he is courting - especially on this board.
Taiwan has never been in Chinas sphere of influence. Most recently it was Japanese territory and there are still many Taiwanese who relate more closely to Japan than China.
When Commodore Perry met with the Chinese Qing Emperor in 1852, the Commodore inquired about Taiwan. The Emperor replied that it was filled with ungovernable barbarians. After the first Sino Japanese War in 1895, China easily ceded Taiwan to the victorious Japanese, who had eyes on Manchuria, and for the next 50 years it was under the rule of Japan.
When Chiang Kai-shek fled to Taiwan he brought the Green Gang with him. Even today they are the crux of corruption in Taiwan.
So while I believe the CCP is evil to the core and need be destroyed, I hold no sympathy for the Taiwanese deep state, just as I have none for our own.
The losers in all of the events of today are not the geopolitical heavyweights but the People. And our movement includes the People of all nations and is against their luciferian pedo death cults oppressors.
It is past time for a new paradigm, led by and on behalf of the People. Let the nation states crumble under the weight of their own depravity and corruption. The meek will inherit the earth.
Chiang Kai-shek led an anti-Communist coup in 1927 and co-opted the Green Gang in an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of arrangement. They were not inherently philosophical allies. Study some Metternich and Realpolitik (" no allies, just interests"). For intance, recall that the US was allied wth Ho Chi Min against the Japanese in WWII - We abndoned Ho to support tthe French by way of alliance, and in 1954 they left us with the tar-baby in Vietnam, affirming Franc's interests. Ho was pushed into the arms of the Soviets. The rest is history
FWIW Chiang Kai-shek and his wife Madam Chiang were both Christians and promoted Chistian evangelism in the country. The Koumentang were supported by the US in the struggle against Mao post WWII. At a critical point when Chiang's forces were still on the Mainland a key military shipment of heavy equipment and other desperately needd armaments were ditched at sea instead of being delivered - an in -the- field betrayal effected by the traitorous in the US State Depatment intent on CHina falling into Communist hands This is what caused Chiang to retreat to Taiwan, but it gave the CCP a foothold on thr Mainland they have held since then. We'd soon pay for the State Department's betrayal years later in Korea.
I hold no love for a Taiwanese deep state any more than I do anywhere. That said I am not on board with the CCP acquiring Taiwan, by way of US abandonment of a people that has stood with us as a force against Communism for 70+ years.
The signs are there that the CCP could collapse, the only way I am cool with CCP action against Taiwan is if Xi is a white hat orchestrating the controlled demolition of communist China while tricking the CCP into an assault on Taiwan just to subvert them in their last gasp to mop up biolabs
