I stayed at the Biltmore several years ago and while it was well appointed with nice accommodations, it reminded me of a stay at the Overlook Lodge in "The Shining".
The feeling you get while you are at the Biltmore or in the surrounding shopping centers is the same feeling when arrive to Washington DC or Las Vegas.
Been there many times over the years as I live in the area. The Halloween room, pool area & basement always seriously creeped me out … even before I knew what I know now.
The whole place just feels strange.
Will be going there sometime this year. I want to see if I can feel anything in the swimming pool room.
The last time I was there, my daughter asked a guide if the house was haunted. She said" the pool area is. Someone must have drowned there."
Been there when I was a normie many years ago, and yes, I always remember the creepy vibes.
It's creepy
