Happened to be watching Rock Block on MTV2 last night before bed and saw this video pop up. I’d completely forgotten about this scene of a guy holding a Trump for President sign. Can’t stand this band, but funny how their attempt at humor came back to bite them.
The song came out on November 4,1999. That’s exactly 17 years before Trump’s first election. Just saying. This has been in the works for a long long time.
I dunno, I watched the video even though I have no clue who they are. I prefer to know what their music is about...no idea. The highlight for me was when the dude was bounced off the stage, no loss to me.
they were the band of the people's voice and freedom but victim once again to disinformation. I would say the same for the band tool, who's mantra was "think for yourself, question authority" and today we see them regurgitate the woke agenda. talented musicians, but guided by the wrong light perhaps
Before you start thinking that Rage Against the Machine had prophetic powers (though the might have still), note that Trump had a short-lived presidential campaign with the Reform Party from October 1999 to February 2000. (Pat Buchanan wound up getting the nomination instead.)
More like Rage For The Machine. https://famuse.co/do-you-have-to-be-vaccinated-to-see-rage-against-the-machine/
Yes, they are raving lefty loons.
Killin in the name of...
Rage On Behalf Of The Machine
Tom Morello = Douchebag

They were easy to forget.

Didn't Trump technically get on the ballot once or twice before or were those in the 2000s?
It’s not like they created that sign though! Trump did run in 2000!!

Someone should make a conservative RATM cover band. Rage Against the Commies!
