DeSantis has done great things for Florida ad I've always liked him, but this video has me scratching my head. In it, he is discussing the big problem we are having with anti-semitism.
I don't think our country is anywhere near where it needs to be for someone else to take over. There's still too much rot, and no one with the capability of character, intelligence or resolve to work through it. Even if our country was in a good place, I don't see any politicians that give me confidence.

I do not agree with the premise. I do not believe that Trump's ego will allow him to not run. When he does, I expect him to win...mostly because the anti/hate Trump vote will be mitigated by the idiocracy across this entire administration and Congress. The mitigation will be in the effect of a greater focus on policy as opposed to personality.
