veganism is a mental illness in most. If you don't want to eat animals... don't.. you don't have to convert other people to your ideology and make fake meat products, which is what i assume these products are for because... if vegans don't eat animals why would they crave a burger? or bacon? or whatever?

...in the dairy business, a milk cow has to become pregnant from time to time in order to continue producing milk...
...most of the calves are born alive and used for veal...
I stopped eating animal meat about 45 years ago. Back then it was a really weird thing to do and folk told me that my health would degenerate and I would die, and so on. I'm still perfectly fine though.
So there you go you would think that if anyone would buy the plant-based fake meats then it could be me. Our local supermarket has big shelves full all kinds of it and the most expensive one is Beyond Meat ; I think it costs so much because it is the same product imported from USA rather than made locally.
Actually I never do eat the fake meats but one day I found some Beyond Meat burgers on the "yellow stickered" shelf meaning the price cut almost to nothing because the product is on its expiry date. So I bought it. They look realistic in the packet but in fact were horrible. Fried them and as soon as I put the heat on they flooded the pan with water and the burger shrank drastically. I ate one but threw the other away.
So there you go. I doubt anyone on gaw is likely to buy that product but just in case my advice is don't.
I like McDonald's and go there often with my kids. They eat the burgers and I am OK with coffee and salad and fries and rings and all their other sides. I won't miss them dropping Beyond Meat, which I didn't buy anyway.
There was no single reason I am just not good with blood, injury and death. Witnessing a messy road accident was the final push. It's the right thing for me but I don't feel it's my call to tell my kids or anyone else what they should eat.
“Beyond Meat” products are pricier than it’s equivalent. Isn’t that how it always is with the Left’s big ideas: green energy-windmills (end up in landfills, not recycled) and solar panels more costly and prone to failure; electric cars cost more in energy to recharge, travel less distance before recharge, batteries very costly and no way to dispose of without pollution; oil and gas from abroad-more costly and not as clean as that produced in the U.S.; open borders-economically more costly (crime, health insurance, education, phones, food, housing), etc.
People who eat crap food like McDonald's are simply not interested in any supposed "health" benefits (which is all lies anyway) so of course they are not going to buy "healthy plant meat". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to be able to predict that failure. Fake plant meat is only going to work with very brainwashed people who think they are eating "healthy" when they choose fake meat. That takes a shocking level of stupidity.
Turn natural vegetables into highly processed, chemical injected emulation of animals to promote not eating animals.
It's like "I don't want to eat cow, but I want to eat pretend cow."
I just can't put into words how fucking stupid it all is.
...you did a pretty good job of it...

Exactly what you said. Logic is not the Left’s strongest attribute.

Is any of it real meat to begin with?
...I read that it is grown from aborted bovine fetuses...
That doesn't surprise me.
cows get abortions ?

Veal is not "aborted bovine fetuses", so where does this esoteric substance originate?
...never said it was....

In light of recent findings, I'm content being a wacko.
McDonaldsMolach's
Great news.

What was your reason for stopping and why do you 'allow' your kids to eat meat if I may ask?
There was no single reason I am just not good with blood, injury and death. Witnessing a messy road accident was the final push. It's the right thing for me but I don't feel it's my call to tell my kids or anyone else what they should eat.
Good stuff

,,."isn't life strange?"
Industrial waste can find another use elsewhere.
Mcdonald's is nasty enough as is. Fake meat is even worse. I had a nice black Angus steak last night... yummy!
...wags tail excitedly...
...slobbers copiously...
Why can't they just be normal and offer a black bean patty option 🙄
...I like those oddly enough.....
It's not bad, though I prefer a meat burger. But at least a black bean burger isn't pretending to be something it's not.
...exactly....

...the world is full of stupid people...
...now the number of those who are "shockingly stupid" is known to be insignificant to support this travesty....
...doggy winks...
Some say it's back to the human burger.
...ouch...
McFace plant.
...howls....
...apparently so....
McD’s tanked due to them mandating and going along with vaccines mandates. Lol, but both routes screw Bill Gates.
