Crime? There are lots of laws that make lots of things crimes. Doesn’t mean it is moral to murder people who break those laws. If a law does anything other than protect one from their rights being violated, it’s immoral. A drug user does not violate anyone else’s rights.
I was talking to people in Philippines at the time that went into play, they were a bunch of stoners in a game guild, and they said the western media was blowing it out of proportion.
It was street dealers, pimps and prostitutes that were pushers, that were getting targeted by people - according to them.
It was. The people that were killed in my neighborhood were all dealers. The were offed quickly within a 3 day period before the kill squad moved on to a new area. They killed about 5-6 of them during the night.
The old mayor who allowed it to fester lost the election before that happened.
The smaller fry like the bike sidecar drivers and tricycle drivers were rounded up and imprisoned. These were guys who worked in public transport, were transporting elementary school children, but were actually drug dealers.

The ability to walk up to a marijuana smoker and murder is not policing, it’s violence.
