In this situation a knife was more effective due to the range and speed, also less chance of missing and destroying merchandise or creating a hole in the wall.
Blood is probably going to be expensive to clean but eh
Well that makes sense... but I don't like knives because you have to be up close to a bad guy to use one.... I prefer a gun so I could stand off and take down an attacker from some distance. I mean, I still carry a knife in case, but my go to defense is a 9mm.
The comments in Twitter show why we are in this mess. Many sound like typical liberals who have never faced a situation like this or done any meaning work with criminals.
Don’t forget that many are bots. Some asshole leftist writes an article full of vitriol, the bots read it, and then make tweets based on it. Something like that I guess.
Ho Leeeee Shiiiiiiit. I'll be honest, the guy looked like this wasn't his first stabbing. He was so calm and focused, and very stabby. However, I think anyone who jumps over a counter like that forfeits their life, because how the hell is an employee supposed to know if their life isn't in danger, you kind of have to assume you are in danger when someone else is the aggressor.
This is a perfect example of what not to do when entering a store. Notice how the robber escalated the situation by jumping the counter. He could have easily avoided a stabbing by paying for the merchandise he wanted to steal.
I wouldn't be surprised if our injustice system prosecutes the store owner for stabbing the thief.
With a knife they can try and argue that "you didn't have to stab him THAT many times, bla, bla, bla. ..he got your point and was leaving your store."
This is what these criminal supporters are going to say.
I say if ANYONE is 'taking over your store' then you can and SHOULD assume they have taken over YOU as well. When that happens, your life is in harms way and you have every right to defend yourself..to the death if necessary.
It is objectively pointless to make such an argument. He was very aggressive, but who is to say he was wrong? His adrenaline was no doubt flowing, he had no idea if the second guy was going to come at him with a gun, he had no idea if this guy would find some sort of super human strength to come back at him --- it's impossible for anybody to dictate what a person should and should not do under those circumstances. Walk a mile ... but one thing he did, he stopped when the guy said, please stop. That shows some compassion / humanity.
Personally, I believe part of this type of anger and aggressiveness at fighting back is due to the fact that so many people have felt helpless when year after year the so called 'authorities' do nothing and let criminals get away with their crimes. Also, he probably doesn't deal with this on a regular basis. So when he had his chance, he went for it -- all out.
Last week's t-shirt: "He shot my arm off!"
This week's t-shirt: "Oh, fuck me, I'm dead!"
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
New T-Shirt: "STAB ME MORE DADDY - REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
Knives are good. Guns are better.

Justice is swift.

“I thought he had a gun and I was in fear for my life. I want to talk to a lawyer.”
And then leave it at that.
Could someone who understands twitter please explain to me why there are no comments on this video? Thanks.
