Battery charging, is a violent process that demands the proper respect. When it goes sideways it usually does so in dramatic fashion. (28 years servicing golf carts, primarily electric carts)
So much water they washed the charred chassis down the driveway and unto the street. Since the EV caught on fire it has traveled less distance by electric power than by water power.
It was kind of like those ground fireworks on the 4th, that spin around and send out sparks, then move around until they whistle real loud and explode. Flags a waving. It was an awesome show!
It was probably in the driveway backed in (like a toad) with the wheels turned, caught fire, and the module that controls the electric parking brake cooked and released the mechanism.
did they try unplugging it and plugging it back in?

Think of all the chemicals that washed into the water system. Not very eco friendly.
EV are NOT eco friendly.
People don't get that.
MOst vehicles don't have 1,000 lbs of rare earth metals on them. Water filtration doesn't get many of those substances out of the water.
Yeah but it’s not often gas cars burst into flames parked in a driveway. *exception Land Rovers

Or somehow they pushed it out there to keep the house from burning too.
Maybe they had a suspicion those things are sketchy, and parked at the end of the driveway so as not to burn their house down. Or just luck.
Awesome!
