A nickname for Chinese Leader Xi Jinping, coming from a serious of images comparing Xi with Winnie the Pooh. Harmless enough, but it seems that it Xi didn't like it. In fact, it bothered him so much that he banned the character from China completely. Too bad that such actions is guaranteed to cause a Streisand Effect to the point where Winnie the Pooh is one of Xi's nicknames, especially used by Anti-CCP persons, much to Xi's extreme displeasure.
Nowadays, whenever you use Winnie the Pooh in the context of Chinese Politics, you really meant Xi Jinping.
I think of Winnie, not only as the loveable Pooh character, but as the bear that had to be left at a zoo when his Canadian human was conscripted to fight in one of the World Wars, and subsequently died... a sad, yet noble story. Maybe Xi can see the nobility in it, instead.
Yeah, pretty much any online game will have a chinese person selling digital shit for $.
Imagine they still do it, but it was a big shock in the early 2000s to learn that they use their prison population to play/farm ingame currencies on a lot of online games to sell. Not a bad racket in my opinion and actually think it's a pretty innovative idea I just don't trust the government behind it.
I've been trying to embed that as hidden text on the web pages on my hosted space.
To discourage Chinese trawling on my hosted space. Not sure it works though, I've got many hundreds of pages and I've blocked a lot of Chinese address ranges.
I have this little friend saved for when I get China spams in game:

Oh. I didn’t know that. Thank you very much.

Thank you thank you. Came in expecting this being the top comment and I wasn't disappointed.
Saving this
BOOM. If you know what that does to anyone behind the great firewall of China you’re updooting that comment

An article I picked at random for reference: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/may/25/china-prisoners-internet-gaming-scam

Awesome!
Bahahah
I've heard on Reddit, if you want to find a bot or Chicom shill, praise Hong Kong.
Implying we on /pol/ were not doing this as early as February of 2020
Good one. Thank you for the laugh!
This has been a known trick since the early 2000s. It is called the three T's - Tibet, Tiananmen, and Taiwan.
As soon as any of those keywords are detected, the Great Firewall of China kicks in.
Or refer to China as West Taiwan
Very clever.
😂
If you ever meet a CCP goon in person and you want to confirm your suspicion, just mention Tianamen Square was real and watch him go REEEEEEE lol
hahahahah fkin commmies
Xi is saving China from the Rothschild/CCP/Biden grasp.
One hopes, and believes.
But only time will truly tell.
Why does it feel like someone is trying to make Chinese the new Russians
We've always been at war with the East-Asian Chinese-Russians.
