I appreciate your prayers for my daughter (the one who went to ER a while back). She has worked as a hospice social worker for about 14 years. Her company changed hands and she could not function in the "new" system. Several people left and she put in her 2 week notice but was put on family leave until September 1st due to her inability to function. This field is a lot like being an EMT...people can't do it forever. My daughter is addressing some coping issues she had through counseling and this is a very transitory time for her so I would appreciate continued prayers as she works through her many issues. I think the Lord has closed a door but will open a window. Thanks to you all I feel good about God directing her where she needs to work and what things in her life need to be addressed. You guys are the best...I appreciate so much your advice and prayers. God is good and wants so much to bless us when we are obedient and in His will. I feel confident that He is working in her life.

When we place our trust in God, we can only feel confident. You and your daughter will be blessed for your faith and trust in Him.

I worked in hospice and home care for 22 years. It practically killed me. I had what they used to call a nervous breakdown. Too much sorrow for too long. Being able to cope with doing that work should not be anyone's end goal. You either are in a condition to do it or you are not. And if you aren't, then stop, because "too late" does come.
Yeah "nervous breakdown" (in relation to work) was my thoughts exactly. I just spent a week on vacation with her and just thought she seemed really stressed...little did I know. It is amazing you lasted 22 years. It is a very difficult job for sure. She needs to get out while she still can before it destroys her physically.
God bless her for being a loving and caring person. I'm sure she has seen lots of loss and sorrow that would test even the most faithful person. I know that God has a job picked out for her that will fit her life as well as her faith. She will not regret placing it in the Lord's hands to take over and lead her where he wants her to go. You are so right about closing a door and opening a window. She should feel a breeze of fresh air and hope pretty soon. Keep the faith and stay strong. We will always be praying for you. Again, God bless you.
I don't know how anyone can do that job and not be affected. I pray for blessings on your daughter and your whole family.
Praying for guidance and direction for your daughter. The best advice I could give is encourage her to listen closely for God's direction. If she has elders or trusted women in her congregation, she might ask them to pray, as well.
Prayers going out for your daughter
Don't think about consolation prizes and small windows. God's scope is vast, and we cannot comprehend his ways. Although the times are difficult, we all, including your daughter, get tried by the difficulties of our lives to become ever closer to God. I will pray the trying times end soon for her, and the door opens to an unimaginable field of blessings.
Thank you.
Well, I think the Lord has flushed a toilet and will open a gigantic, glorious, daimond-studded door!!!
Have faith!!!
The faith of a mustard seed can move a mountain.... this was not said because the mustard seed was SMALL. This was said because this tiny innocuous seed will TAKE OVER YOUR WHOLE FUCKING GARDEN AND IT WAS A WEED UNLIKE ANYTHING. IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL OR RID YOURSELF OF.
BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
She's a saint to do it at all. May God give her relief and rest her mind that He is still providing for the people she has to leave now.
Father In Heaven, please help this beloved daughter. Guide her with your hand to the next steps in life to be molded & increased the way you need her to be for this next step in her journey.
Father please also bless all those affected in and by her life to be lifted & assisted during this time as well.
I ask thee this, in the name of your son Jesus Christ, Amen.
