Then my say, "I refuse to go out and spend $40 for a pair of pants and $25 for a shirt when I can continue to wear the $3 shirts and $4 pants I got at a Goodwill Store 20 years ago" :) (but seriously, every dollar I DON'T spend at a new clothes store I think of as one less dollar to the advertising/fashion industry that preys upon people's lust for more and desire to "fit in"/be fashionable) The only new clothes I get are bought by my wife :)
Once I was giving a lift to someone to downtown Denver at about 6 a.m. on Sunday when only street people were out and she was watching and finally said "Just think, all these people are wearing clothes that they liked once." That has always stuck with me as a profound insight, if we only knew what style meant.
