The constitution WILL allow Trump to regain the office of presidency for two years or less... and still run for Re-Election in 2024.
If Trump somehow regains the presidency in November or December, then he will have 2-years + 1 or 2 months... which is defined as serving a full term as president. You can only serve 2 full terms. He has already served one full term, so that would be his 2nd one.
If he is re-elected in a new vote in November, and then inaugurated as the re-vote winning president elect on January 20, 2023... then Trump will only serve 2-years or less (especially if he holds the inauguration 15-minutes later than noon that day). So his remaining 2-year term is NOT considered as a full term (but only partial) by law. He is still eligible to run for another full 4-year term.
I think the consequence for treason is a little more harsh than not being able to hold office.
If you stole an election you deserve to be publicly hanged.
At least we can still agree on this stuff.
I too am glad for that.
