It happened. We tore down a bunch of Soviet memorials and statues since the RU special operation began. Anti-RU tensions very high throughout the Baltics currently.

Agreed. But, one must keep in mind due to forced conscription that many fought for what is essentially four sides: Pre Soviet Russia, Post Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany, and partisan (resistance) forces.
