Recognizing the pose on the cover lead me down a rabbit hole. Daryl hall was into Crowley. Hall's interest in Crowley was shared by.... Robert Fripp of King crimson, who plays guitar on the album (also produced the album.).
Then I got into Alan Parsons project.
Let's just say Mr Parsons isn't hiding his feelings. Go check out his album titles. (Added bonus: Alan Parsons was the engineer on dark side of the moon)

Still a fan of Fripp's contributions to music, but yeah I always sensed his demeanor and mindset were steeped in some unspoken occultism. He played the quiet, reserved nerd, yet a caster of tempests on a rock n roll stage.
