I know it's not very "Christian" to not forgive, but I think it's fairly reasonable to never trust anyone who dehumanized the unvaccinated. In fact, I think it's more than reasonable to laugh at them for their stupidity as they see their shortsightedness result in permanent health problems. But, I'm not going to be that person. I'll just say, "Actions have consequences"
To forgive doesn't mean to not use your brain.
If a dog's a biter, he's gonna bite again.
Forgiveness and revenge are one thing, people being held accountable for their crimes is quite another. They can't be held accountable if no one remembers the crime, or assumes that repentance is means all will be well. We will never get out from underneath evil killing our families and children if the evildoers go unpunished. It's unfortunate it has to be that way, but trust was broken, and these people can never be trusted again.
The government is responsible punishing crimes, and we need to make sure they do their jobs, or throw them out and put people in place who will do their jobs. And then hold the traitors responsible, since they aided and abetted the worst of the criminals
Anyway, I'm not disagreeing with your statement..
Actually, you NEVER ever forgive what they DID. Hoewver, you DO forgive the deluded, disgraceful, demented, derisive, disgusting, ignorant, soulless PERSON that did the deed.
"Dear Father in heaven, this deluded, disgraceful, demented, derisive, disgusting, ignorant, soulless child of yours has done irreparable damage to my family and my soul. I will never forgive or foget the deed. But, hereby, with your grace and strength in me, forgive him/her for not having a soul, knowing that vengence on the evil soulless is yours and only yours. Amen."
Yeah, people like that are demon possessed. I'd like to try to help them but they first have to be willing to be helped, which most aren't.
Stop with the moral equivalence. If we do not forgive we do NOT become them in any spiritual, physical or mental sense.
We may become bitter, resentful and it may take a toll on us emotionally and physically and harm our own mental state but it will never make us them.
Edit :- The post itself was good.
I'll forgive if they show repentance. It's a prerequisite for any kind of real forgiveness.
that's like the dumbshits that raped their children and they forgave?
We also probably don't want our great grandchildren and beyond asking for reparations...
what a good idea !
